Join Little Island’s Landscape Architect Signe Nielsen, MNLA and Architect of Record Fabian Jabro, Standard Architects to learn all about how Little Island began as a simple plan to revive a pier destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and turned into an award-winning public park that has welcomed over 3.5 million visitors. You’ll hear the thought process behind the winding pathways, colorful blooms and lush lawns from the woman who envisioned them along with the stories about creating the engineering feat that is the tulip pots from the man that helped to bring Heatherwick’s design to life. This one-of-a-kind tour is only offered for Archtober. No need to RSVP, just meet them under the covered area of the South Bridge.
