Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort has been welcoming guests since the 1930s, but the Ktunaxa First Nations peoples have embraced the nupika wu’u (spirit water) for its healing powers long before then. Today, Ainsworth Hot Springs is owned by Yaqan Nukiy, the Lower Kootenay Band of Creston, and is home to a relaxing hot springs and natural cave, hotel, and the Ktunaxa Grill. There’s everything you need to have a relaxing and healing experience!

The hot springs are fed from high in the mountains.
Ainsworth, British Columbia, Canada
The hot springs begin high in the mountains near Cody Caves. As the water flows down fractures in the rock, it increases in temperature at about 40°C per kilometer. The warm water in the main pool is about 35°C (96°F). It’s a very comfortable temperature, especially in the winter. I could have easily spent all day lounging in the pool! Make sure to bring along water so that you stay hydrated.
