Backstage tours, exhibition openings and free film screenings in the park are all on offer at this free event, with the majority of programming accessible by foot and bike.

The Miami Beach Botanical Garden founded in 1962. It was transformed in 2011 with a $1.2 million landscape renovation designed by South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. The new landscape showcases native Florida plants and trees including bromeliads, palms, cycad, orchids and many others. There is a Japanese garden, native garden and bioswale, and water gardens including ponds, fountains, and a wetland with mangrove and pond apple trees.

Perfect for all levels, the Dance thing session will get you moving, connecting, and enjoying the dynamics of gravity. Dance Thing draws inspiration from contact improv, contemporary dance, and spinning. During the class, participants learn and perform movements together with a focus on creating an authentic grounded connection to the earth, the Garden, and each other. The class is led by Galen Treuer, a Miami Beach resident with 30+ years of dance study and performance.
