Why Torrance Beach is Simply the Best
Torrance, California, United States
The best beaches in Southern California might not be the most well-known, and Torrance Beach is definitely one of those. It’s pristine, uncrowded and quiet, which is a big part of why our 1.5-mile stretch of sand is our favorite. National Beach Day is August 30, and Torrance Beach is our pick for the perfect Southern California beach day.

Torrance Beach is one of the lesser-known beaches in the region and it’s our very own piece of blissful shore. You can come and take in your dose of Southern California sunshine without everybody taking up all the space around you. Torrance Beach also has more than 300 parking spots, and there are tons of shops and restaurants close by. There are also public restrooms and outdoor showers for your use. It’s also fully accessible with beach wheelchairs and beach mats available on a first-come, first-served basis at any of the seven lifeguard stations.

The Strand Bike Trail
Torrance, California, United States
Torrance Beach is the starting point of The Strand, a 22-mile bike path that runs all the way up to Will Rogers State Beach in Malibu. While dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, you can take them along this beautiful coastal path. You’re welcome to bring your own bike or you can rent just about any kind of bike you can think of including e-bikes from spots like Torrance Bikes. You can pack some food to eat along the way or stop at any of several spots along the path to grab some food and take a break. It’s also paved which makes it wonderful for strollers, wheelchairs and scooters.
