The Illinois Prairie Path is a multi-use nature trail for non-motorized public use. It spans approximately 61 miles in Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties in northeasten Illinois. A former right-of-way for the old Chicago Aurora & Elgin electric railroad, it was the first U.S. rail-to-trail conversion in the nation in the 1960’s.

Sonny Acres Farm is a family owned and operated farm located in West Chicago, IL, since 1883. Originally settled by first generation German immigrants Ferdinand and Anna Nagel homesteaded what was eventually to become the Sonny Acres farm. Back then it was known as the Oakwood Farm. Today, Sonny Acres has new owners keeping the traditions alive and making the farm a vibrant destination.
