Out of all the dog beaches close to Prince George, we think this one is the best because of how well maintained and large it is.

Summit & Penny had the whole beach to themselves and loved playing fetch in the water!

The walk from the campground is about 10 minutes to the beach or there is a large parking lot only a short walk from the beach for day users. We went mid-week during the month of May and had the whole dog beach to ourselves. Summit and Penny loved being able to play fetch in the water!

You cannot keep these two out of the water!

It’s hard to tell in this video, but the water at Purden Lake is very clear and is perfect for swimming or going out for a kayak or paddle board.

After a long day at the beach, we headed back to our campsite for a little nap

The campground has a lot of trees in-between sites which made it easy for us to tie off Summit and Penny on a lead and still give them plenty of freedom the roam around our campsite.

We got to relax in our hammock while we tied off the dogs on a long lead to sniff and explore the campsite responsibly

We stayed in campsite #11 and found it had enough space and privacy for the dogs to explore on their long line without disturbing fellow campers.
