Paso Robles

California, United States

For more than a decade, Sherwood Dog Park has been an off-leash favorite of dogs and their families. The 1.25-acre playground is set on Sherwood Field, a historic site that was once home to the community's first airport. Cross-fencing provides ample play areas for big and small dogs, and recycled wood chips cover much of the ground. Canine amenities include water stations, dog bags and a dunking pool, while dog owners can relax on park benches and picnic tables. Towering trees and a shade structure keep families cool on hot days. The $1 day-use fee is a bargain for travelers. Guests can also support the park with a $30 annual membership.
