Kitesurfing, also known as kiteboarding, is a new, extreme-sport version of windsurfing. This fast-paced activity utilizes a β€œpower kite” to catch the wind and propel the rider and his board through the water. Experienced kitesurfers can complete advanced jumps and flips using both the wind and the waves. This activity requires sufficient wind, as well as proper tools and instruction to complete safely. Lessons and rental equipment are available at multiple locations along the coast.
