Frank and Joeseph Bily (The Bily Brothers) grew up on a farm between Ridgeway and Spillville where they started carving. They carved from 1913-1946 at the farm and in 1946 they moved to town as over 1,000 people were coming to see the clocks daily (Bily Clocks).
