The Mullerthal region, also known as "Luxembourg's Little Switzerland", is one of the most popular hiking regions in Luxembourg and is a UNESCO Geopark. Its landscape is dotted with towering sandstone rock formations and crisscrossed by the rivers that created it. The Mullerthal Trail is an exciting trail with magnificent views. It takes you to all sorts of cultural and natural attractions which are great for families and children. Along the trails you will be impressed by magnificent views over the river Sûre and by beautiful woodlands with rare sandstone rock formations and enchanted castles.

Only some 20 km from the lively and polyglot capital of Luxembourg you will find the wine garden that curls like a green ribbon along the Moselle river. It is a gem nestled between the great wine producing countries Germany and France. Inspired by their neighbours, our winegrowers cultivate and creatively shape their own, elegant style of wine. Be sure to try the Crémant de Luxembourg - a sparkling wine, made using the same traditional methods as its more popular friend, Champagne.

In heart of the Upper-Sûre Natural Park lies the Upper-Sûre Lake. Apart from the protected area for drinking water supplies, a range of watersports are possible on the lake: swimming, kayaking, diving, windsurfing and sailing. During the bathing season it is possible to ride your own kayak or canoe on the lake. In July and August, the youth hostel in Lultzhausen organizes daily guided canoe trips.

Guttland is an enchanting setting of charming villages with old farm houses, imposing castles and beautiful natural landscapes. The region offers a calm and peaceful environment, with hundreds of kms of hiking and cycling trails meandering through the untouched landscapes. The historic heritage is ubiquitous, whether in the Valley of the Seven Castles, on the many Gallo-Roman sites or in the rural museums. At the same time, antiquity and modernity go hand in hand in the Guttland region, which is shown by the plethora of regional innovative and sustainable projects.

The Land of the Red Rocks, also known as the "Minett", is located in the south of Luxembourg. Since the days of the steel industry, a positive structural change has taken place: from the open-air museum to the university campus and the modern shopping centre, here you can find both the past, marked by coal and steel, and the new technologies of the present. Nature is also hard at work reclaiming the former mining area. Since October 2020, the Minett officially bears the UNESCO "Man and Biosphere" label.
