There are year round campsites available and an off leash dog park located in the state park. There is also a disc golf course.

The park has wildlife such as birds, squirrels and more. The park has paved roads throughout the entire park and multiple boat launches.

The river is lined with rocks so be sure to wear river shoes to protect your feet. While a good portion of the river is calm, there are some mild rapids along the river.
