The Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery is also known as MAAHMG. It is located at 1256 Penn Avenue North on the Fourth Floor. Admission is free, and there is free visitor parking located in the ramp in the rear of the building.

The mission of the museum is to educate and inform the public about the history, culture, and art of African Americans in Minnesota through exhibits, programs, and events. Admission is free, but there are also private group tours available for $10 per person.

The current exhibit is an exploration of the Black Liberation Movement in Minnesota focusing on Black-led organizations and Black leaders including abolitionists, labor, civil rights and Black Power leaders. This exhibit is on display through the end of the year, December 31st, 2023.
