Splash Island is a 30,0000 gallon pool designed just for little kids. This enormous watery playground is full of all the soggy treats your junior sea urchins will love. Pint-sized water slides are everywhere, sized to ride if your little ones are at least three feet tall. There are rain curtain waterfalls that are endless fun to stand beneath, and there’s squirting water just about everywhere. And most importantly, there are plenty of lounge chairs for mom and dad ! But they are right by the action, so you can still watch the kids and keep a safe eye on everyone’s good time fun.

What’s the rush? You deserve some rest and relaxation, and what better place to find it than on a lazy River Cruise. This slow-moving water trail weaves around the park and is just what you need when it is time to slow down and enjoy life at a mellow pace. Set sail on an extremely pleasant, low-maintenance, and refreshing tour of Hurricane Harbor. Hop on a raft and let the gentle current do all the work. This is a 1,300-foot long river, which passes under a series of truly impressive archways, majestically carved with nautical themes overhead.

Check out the two individual looping body slides as you make the six-story climb to the top, which gives you plenty of time to work up the courage you’ll need to attack the run. Your body gets sealed into one of two see-through launchers, as you stand precariously on a trap door at your feet. And in one crazy instant, that door will spring open and you literally fall right through the floor and into the slide. How’s that for a surprise?

Go inside the eye of insanity in Tornado, a mind-blowingly original water adventure unlike anything you’ve ever seen. You can’t miss the gigantic blue and yellow checkerboard structure, truly one of the most original water slide designs in the world. Once you grab one of the specially-designed four-person rafts and climb seven stories up to the top of the tower, you’re ready to jump into the middle of the craziest full body twister on earth. You’ll also want to grab a few friends or family for the ride, if you’ve got friends or family along who are brave enough to give it a go.

Over the years, we’ve learned a thing or two about making the most of a day at Six Flags. The tips will help make sure you have a fun and memorable experience. Visit when attendance is lightest—you’ll spend less time waiting to get on your favorite rides. Best bets are weekdays during the summer. Sunscreen is recommended every day and can be purchased at Cabana Bros. Export Trading Co. Arrange a meeting place and time, just in case your party becomes separated. Plan to start your day at attractions farthest from the main entrance. Also, ride your favorite rides when the park first opens or after 5 p.m.—that’s when they will be less crowded. To save time, eat at non-traditional lunch and dinner hours. Make sure children feel comfortable with a ride before they board. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas only.
