This gorgeous hiking route is a favorite in the Rocky Mountain Front. The seven mile hike includes a 1,500 foot elevation gain. Walk around three miles to get to the water, take the one mile loop around Our Lake, then enjoy an easier hike back to the parking area and campground. Get to the trailhead in just under two hours from Great Falls.

This must-see trail is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The hike to Memorial Falls is stunning any time of year, and doable for many age groups and fitness levels. The roughly 1.5 mile out and back trail leads you along a crystal clear creek to the refreshing falls. The Memorial Falls trailhead is just off of Highway 89 in the Little Belt Mountains, just over an hour outside of Great Falls.

South Shore of the River's Edge Trail

The South Shore is part of our 53-miles of River's Edge Trail system! The easily assessable trailhead is near the Rainbow Dam overlook, which provides a great view of one of our five falls. The South Shore is great for hikers and mountain bikers alike. Make the approximately four-mile journey to Cochrane Dam, or turn around wherever you'd like along the gravel terrain. This one is in town, so you don't have to drive far to make it to the trailhead!
