The Nevada City Museum features a building zoo which is a collection of historic buildings that are brought together to help tell a local history. The buildings featured in Nevada City originated from across Montana. These buildings together stand reminiscent of a 19th Century mining town. Every weekend during the summer season the Nevada City Museum hosts living history events.

The Alder Gulch Shortline is a tour well worth the ticket!
Madison County, MT
The conductor and guides of the Alder Gulch Shortline will provide a short history of the area and explain some of the mining remnants present in the landscape while you travel between Nevada City and Virginia City. This mile and a half ride takes about 15 minutes one way and is the perfect addition to any afternoon!
