The highlight of COAST is their rooftop terrace which offers STUNNING ocean views!! There are not many businesses in Big Sur, let alone, ones with this view. This is a must stop when traveling along the California coast!

The building’s exterior is super unique! It’s made up of old redwood water tanks that formerly served as the Oak Naval Hospital’s water storage for 19 years.

COAST cafe offers lots of drinks and bites to eat! Their menu consists of coffee, beer, and wine all sourced from California’s Central Coast. They also serve up local, organic, and ethically sourced foods including salads, grain bowls, pizzas, and homemade pastries and ice cream. There are gluten free and vegan options as well! There is also a picnic provisions store that sells cheese, snacks, beer, wine, kombucha, and soda. My friend and I tried the iced oat and honey chai and iced lavender vanilla latte- both were absolutely delicious!

The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating. When you first enter the upstairs area, there is a large indoor seating area with breathtaking window views of the Pacific Ocean. There was so much natural light in this space!

The rooftop is COAST’s crown jewel!!! I could not get over these ocean views. I could simply sit here all day! Grab a drink or bite to eat, and sit here and enjoy the sun, ocean, and fresh air. 🥰🌊☀️☕️

We tried their homemade ice cream sundae and it was to die for! We specifically tried the chocolate landslide ice cream sundae which consists of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, cocoa pebbles, and chocolate custard. The chocolate custard brought the sundae to the next level!
