This magnificent bell tower in Springfield, Illinois' Washington Park, holds one of the few Carillons in the world open to the public. The Thomas Rees Memorial Carillon consists of sixty-seven cast bronze bells that ring out from the 132 foot brutalist style tower. A carillon is a musical instrument consisting of bells played by a carillonneur.

The Dana-Thomas House is one of the most unique and lavish structures designed by Frank Lloyd Wright during his early Prairie period. The home was built for Springfield, Illinois, socialite Susan Lawrence Dana. Perhaps the most complete of all early Wright dwellings, it was never significantly altered and has over 100 pieces of original Wright-designed oak furniture, 250 examples of art glass light fixtures and lamps.
