The Cowichan Lake Loop offers various camping options: Goldstream Provincial Park, Bamberton Provincial Park & Cowichan River Provincial Park. Alternatively, there are camp sites on Hipcamp, like this one shown. While the surrounding land may appear to be public, it’s crucial to respect the rights and permissions of the landowners. So, unless you’re absolutely certain it’s allowed, stick to the designated trail and avoid wandering off. Show your appreciation for the environment by embracing the Leave No Trace principles, leaving the trail and campsites just as pristine as you found them. As tempting as it may be, wilderness camping is not available along the route, so plan ahead.
