Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, beach wheelchairs are available at the main lifeguard tower at the Silver Strand parking lot. During the rest of the year, beach wheelchairs may be checked out from Harbor Patrol at 3900 Pelican Way, Oxnard, CA 93035.

Get an up-close view of the water and enjoy the view from Ed Hunt Rehab Point. This pathway allows for easy access for people in wheelchairs who want to go to the beach. Ed Hunt Trail is located at Oxnard Beach Park and it has paths that lead to the beach. It provides easy access to and from the beach. There are also benches/tables as you get closer to the beach.

Explore the unique collection of Prisoner of War bone models at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum. The museum is an accessible environment with handicapped parking. All the exhibits, including the tiny model ships built between 1790 to 1815, have been placed within wheelchair and walker access.
