This was such a unique way to learn about historic Oregon City — a town that’s famous for being the final stop along the Oregon Trail. It was so interesting to learn about Oregon City history through the lens of ghost stories and paranormal activity. And Rocky did an incredible job of weaving together diverse stories and sources about not just European settlers to the region, but all the people who have lived here throughout history.

This house was built by the former mayor of Oregon City, but it also feels like something that would be right at home in a horror movie. It sure looks like a place that could be haunted, to me. 😳 This house is also near the site of the unmarked graves of 5 Cayuse men who were wrongfully charged and executed for the murders of missionaries Marcus and Narcissa Whitman. This was just one of the many stories we learned about over the course of the walking tour.

If you’re into ghost stories and Oregon history, I hope you get the chance to take this tour! It’s the perfect fun and educational activity for Halloween and beyond. A ghost tour isn’t my typical activity as a tourist, but after Haunted Oregon City, I’m definitely interested in experiencing more places through this unique and spooky lens!
