LaSalle Canyon is a 2-mile hike from the Visitor Center. The best time to see this seasonal waterfall is spring or early summer. LaSalle Canyon is one of the best spots for pictures as you can walk behind the falls!

Tonti Canyon is just under 2 miles from the Visitor Center. This 60' canyon features two waterfalls, best viewed in spring when the snow melts or after a heavy rainfall. Be sure to bring your water shoes!

In the winter, Starved Rock's waterfalls freeze! Hundreds of ice climbers gather each year to scale the massive ice falls. Climbers are required to bring their own equipment and have prior experience ice climbing, or have a chartered experienced guide. This is not for novices, but you're welcome to watch the pros in action!
