Very close to Bermeo you’ll find one of the most iconic spots on the Basque Coast, which has become even more popular after appearing in the famous series Game of Thrones. Here you'll find a tiny island with a little hermitage dedicated to St John. A twisty narrow stairway will lead you there from the beach. As you slowly walk up the steps and approach the hermitage, the views become ever more impressive, particularly if you choose to go at sunset. If you go up to the hermitage, don't forget to ring the bell three times, as it said that this will bring you good luck and drive away evil spirits.

Setting for the wedding between Charles V and Isabella of Portugal. The Real Alcázar in Seville is a group of palaces surrounded by a wall. Peter the Cruel rebuilt the old Almohad building to establish a royal residence in the 14th century. It has contributions from all periods, although Mudejar and Renaissance styles are predominant. The use of the Upper Palace, on the upper level of the Mudejar Palace, is administered by National Heritage. It includes: the foyer, built in the times of the Catholic Monarchs; the oratory of the Catholic Monarchs; the banquet all built during the reign of Philip II of Spain; the viewpoint of the Catholic Monarchs, influenced by Granada and built subsequent to 1492, the bedroom of Peter of Castile, which is one of the rooms from the 14th-century Mudejar palace; and the official or audience chamber. Visits to it are managed by the Board of Management for the Real Alcázar Palace of Seville.

The castle is located on the highest point of the city. It was built by the Knights Templar on the remains of an old Moorish citadel. It was built with walls of carved stone. Most of the rooms had barrel vaults. It is a sober and solid construction. It was the residence of Benedict XIII, who turned it into a palace and papal library when he moved to Peñíscola in 1411.

The cathedral of the discordance The Gerona Cathedral has the widest Gothic nave in the world. It was designed with three naves, but the prospect of a single nave caused work on it to be suspended and an argument that lasted 50 years. To reach the main entrance, you must go up a large staircase from the late 17th century The main façade is Baroque, while the cloister is from the 12th century, the bell tower is from the 11th and the rest of the building is from the 14th century. The cloister is large with a trapezoidal plan that is dictated by the wall to which it is adjoined. There are works of great beauty and value on the inside. The high altar reredos made of silver, enamel and precious stones is one of the jewels of Spanish precious metalwork. The capitals of the cloister have scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The tapestry of the Creation is an important piece of Romanesque tapestry making. There is also a Beato de Liébana.
