Kitimat-Stikine, BC

Lava Lake was formed by a glacier moving through the Nass Valley. When the volcanic eruption happened in 1780, the creek flowing from the lake was dammed and enlarged the lake, raising it by 30m. The water is cold, but perfect for a quick dip on a hot day!
