Your instructor will first explain the anatomy of a surfboard. You’ll lean about the nose, trail, fins, leash, and more. All of this will come in handy when you’re out in the water!

For beginners, lessons start with practicing the basics on the beach

Then, practice paddling and standing up on your surfboard while on the sand! It might seem kind of silly in the moment, but it’s important to get your body familiar with the movement before you get out on the water.
