We continued on. Our first day’s total was 12 miles, including two 11,700+ passes to reach Rae Lakes.

The next morning, I hiked into Sixty Lakes Basin. This offshoot was harder than I’d expected but beautiful nonetheless!

I left Rae lakes after one day in order to break up the return trip. Here’s the view of the basin from Glenn Pass (11,900 feet).

After a 7 mile day, I capped it off at Kearsarge Lakes and the Pinnacles. So amazing!

After 25 miles in three days and over 8,000 feet of elevation gain, I was feeling it. All that was left was 5 miles downhill in the sun.
