Let's start off this beautiful spring day in Monroe by crossing over the Ouachita River into West Monroe for THE best coffee in the twin cities and the only place to grab a Honduran breakfast, Alex's Latin Restaurant. I've tried several items from the menu, but I just can't seem to stay away from The Rancher breakfast paired with a large coffee. This breakfast is filling and the coffee is strong, so to help you burn off the food and caffeine rush, you'll definitely want to get those legs moving.

To work off that breakfast, we'll hop on over to the zoo for some wild adventures! While our zoo is small and in the process of upgrading, you're still in for a great day. My favorite time to go is in the mornings when the animals are still fairly active. When purchasing your tickets you have options to enhance your zoo day. They offer a boat ride or train ride to the "back 40" of the zoo. I personally prefer the boat ride but you can always choose both options!

I love visiting the Reptile House! Don't worry, all those snakes, lizards, and frogs are behind a protective glass (No tapping please!) so you can view them at ease.
