If you plan on camping during your trip, I would highly recommend spending a night or two at Summit Lake Campground in Stone Mountain Provincial Park. It’s situated right on the lake with incredible views and there’s also a ton of different homes to do in the area.

June is a great month to visit because the wildflowers are starting to bloom, there’s a ton of wildlife, and the days are really long which gives you a ton of time for exploring!

There are very few places to stay in the area so make sure to plan ahead! There is also a lodge at Liard Hot Springs, but it books up very quickly as it’s quite small. There’s also two provincial campgrounds in the area.
