What began as a small idea to celebrate the harvest season in Solvang has grown into a vibrant tradition. Scarecrow Fest, which started in 2010 with 60 local businesses, now spans the entire Santa Ynez Valley, featuring scarecrows from Solvang to Buellton and drawing thousands of participants and voters.
