Alamitos Vineyards was named Best New Winery Experience in 2023 by USA Today. It’s the only vineyard winery in San Jose! Reservations are required to visit and can be made on the winery’s website. The winery is only open to visitors age 21 and up. Pets are not allowed.

The wine is served from this cute vintage trailer and a bar made from 150 year old reclaimed barn wood sourced from Gilroy, California! Head over to the check in area upon arrival. The winery has plenty of parking. While rideshare vehicles are able to drop visitors off at Alamitos Vineyards, it’s a good idea to arrange transportation for the way back as the winery has a remote location.

The tasting flights at Alamitos Vineyards feature its estate grown wines. Each reservation lasts 60 minutes. -The standard flight consists of four wines including whites and reds. Costs $20 per person. -The reserve tasting has four red wines. Costs $30 per person.

The artwork on each wine bottle has been hand painted by a relative of the winery co-owner. The labels feature birds found around the estate! Winery co-owners Shaun Coleman and Chris Maune share a Silicon Valley background and passion for winemaking.

Alamitos Vineyards prides itself on its small batch winemaking, farming just under 5 acres of vines. The estate vineyard produces Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Touriga Nacional. The latter is a Portuguese variety of grapes that pays tribute to the winery owner’s family history.
