Taking the ferry could be one of the fastest ways to travel between San Francisco and Marin. Ferry rides are only about 25minutes each way, where as taking the bus could take over 30-40minutes, and even more if there’s traffic

Golden Gate Larkspur and Sausalito Ferry operate daily, with reduced service on weekends and specific holidays (Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas week). Golden Gate Tiburon Ferry operates weekday commute service only. Golden Gate Ferry does NOT operate on New Year's, Thanksgiving, and Christmas days.

The Bay Bridge is most visible when you are closer to the San Francisco port. You can even take the ferry from Marin and take it straight to Oracle Park to watch a Baseball Game. This route will take you under the bridge!
