There is plenty of parking by the trailhead. Just 0.1 mile into the trail, you’ll have the option to go left or right. To the left, you’ll there is a half a mile steep incline to a gorgeous view of the city. To the right, there is about 2.5 miles of more moderate trails. The coastal breeze is perfect on a hot summer day. After a particularly rainy winter, the wild flowers are blooming all throughout the canyon! You can even hear the bees buzzing along your hike. Some of the plants along the trail have really had a growth spurt this year, so consider wearing long pants. This trail is rarely busy, even with its unmatched views. Because most of the trail isn’t too steep, this is a great hike for beginners as well or anyone hoping to escape the city for a little while!
