During late winter each year, Fresno County turns into a sea of white and pink as fruit and almond orchards start blooming. Not only are these blossoms beautiful to look at, but the orchards are an important part of California’s agriculture. Fresno County is known as the state’s top almond producing county. The orchards along the trail are private property, so please be respectful when visiting. Take plenty of photos from the shoulder of the road and enjoy the blossoms, but be sure to avoid trespassing or causing any damage.

Catching the blossoms in full bloom is all about timing as there is a short window in which to see them. Check online for updates on bloom status to time your visit. When the petals fall to the ground like nature’s confetti, they create what’s known as “valley snow.” A beautiful sight! The orchards along the trail are private property, so please be respectful when visiting. Take plenty of photos from the shoulder of the road and enjoy the blossoms, but be sure to avoid trespassing or causing any damage.
