Legend has it that Alexander Graham Bell created the first airboat in 1905 but was not used much by civilians until the 1930s. Other boats cannot travel here due to submerged motors, but the airboat can cross the area easily. These boats are made from fiberglass or aluminum. The airboat practically glides across the surface of the water with the help of its propeller. It is made not to disturb the vegetation or the wildlife by skimming the top of the water. It also has helped a lot so as not to pollute the water with oil or other harmful chemicals.
