On your visit make sure to take a Glass-Bottom Boat Tour. The cost of a ticket is $12 and it's a 25-minute ride. You will learn about the history of the springs, the wildlife that calls the lake home, environmental impacts, what researchers have found in the area, and much more. It’s amazing to see what floats underneath you on the glass bottom!

The Glass-Bottom Boat Tours offer a unique view of Spring Lake. The site was once a very popular Texas attraction, Aquarena Springs. The attraction was purchased by Texas State University and turned into a research facility.

After the Glass-Bottom Boat Tour, walk along the trail to the Wetlands Boardwalk. This quick nature walk allows you to get close-up views of the wetlands and wildlife. The walk takes about 12 minutes to complete. If you are visiting during the summer make sure to come early in the morning!
