Eager Hills is a grassland knoll that once was a fire lookout tower. The easy 1.5 km hike is one of Cranbrook's favourite dog walks any time of year. The wide trail to the lookout gains 125 m (410 ft.). The viewpoint has good road access, and the view is always a treat. Eager Hills features views of the Rockies, Mount Fisher and The Steeples Mountains.

3. Peckhams Lake Complete with dog beach

You heard that right. Upon entering the Day Use area, park at the first trail on your right. You will see the trail wind all the way to the lake. You can also park at the main lot and follow the dog signs toward the far end of the lake! A great place to cool off!
