Virginia City

Virginia City, Montana was the second territorial capital. The area was settled by miners who found incredible wealth along Alder Gulch. Today, Virginia City stands as a living ghost town with plenty to see and do throughout the summer! While in Virginia City, check out: • Nevada City Museum and Music Hall for living history, a ride on the Alder Gulch Shortline, and an incredible collection of Player Pianos! • Throughout the summer you'll have the opportunity to catch a live performance at either the Virginia City Opera House or the Brewery Follies! • Wander the boardwalk where you will find restaurants, museum like displays, shops, and so much more! • Get an old time photo done at the Montana Picture Gallery • Spend the night in the historic Fairweather Inn! There's so much to see and do in Virginia City!

Whitehall, MT

Carved millions of years ago by water seeping through the porous Madison Limestone that makes up so many of Southwest Montana’s best features, the Caverns are an underground wonderland of stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and other features rearing from the floor and plummeting from the ceiling–one drop of water at a time. Trips to the caverns are a staple of a true Southwest Montana summer. The classic tour takes visitors on a two hour excursion.

Philipsburg

Philipsburg, Montana is one of those charming communities that you won't tire of exploring. As you wander Broadway Street, you'll find shops and restaurants to keep you busy all day! Here's a couple highlights you won't want to miss: • Gem Mining - the area is renowned for the incredible cache of Sapphires. While in town, check out Gem Mountain, Montana Gems, and the Sapphire Gallery. • The Sweet Palace - this candy store will transport you back in time and leave your sweet tooth satisfied! (*closed Saturdays) • Philipsburg Opera House - catch a live performance or schedule a tour! • Philipsburg Brewing - during the summer don't miss their "Springs" location with outdoor seating, events, and delicious brews! Their "Vault" location is open year round! • Georgetown Lake is just down Montana Highway 1. You're in for an incredible drive and a beautiful destination!
