Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse is located southeast of the town of Gulliver.

Its name means "only choice" in French because the harbor is the only refuge in this part of Lake Michigan.

The lighthouse was built in 1895 by architect Orlando Poe. He also designed the Au Sable Lighthouse in Grand Marais. In 1984 the lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Tour the inside of the lighthouse keeper’s living quarters at your own pace. It is decorated to represent life as it was between 1900 and 1930.

You can even climb the 96 steps up to the top of the over 78 foot tall tower.

Adults and kids 16 and under can enter for a small fee, babies and toddlers unable to climb the tower are free. Only five people are allowed up the tower at a time. No flip flops or bare feet are allowed.

Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse is operated by the Gulliver Historical Society and is volunteer staffed. It's open daily from 10am to 6pm between Memorial Day and mid October.

A Boat House Museum, Fog Signal building (now Gulliver Historical Museum), and gift shop are also located here.
