The “not-so-hidden-anymore Hidden Kitchen!” We are most grateful for the sweet smells the ocean gifts us in the mornings, for our beautiful beach front patio view, and for sun that shines on us for most of the year! Our patio is open for dine-in and our take-out window is available for food, smoothies, and other drinks to-go as well. We are here 6 days a week from 9am-3pm (closed Wednesdays). Jeniece Grimshaw, owner of Bijou, has been baking professionally since graduating from Le Cordon Bleu college of culinary arts in 2012. A northern California native, Jeniece made the move to San Luis Obispo county in the fall of 2014 where she honed her craft leading teams of bakers in providing delicate pastries and custom cakes for the booming central coast wedding industry. Jeniece was drawn to the beach town of Cayucos, California by the welcoming, small town community and the majestic coastal scenery. While operating as the bakery director at the Historic Cass House in Cayucos, the shut down of 2020 changed everything. It was then, in June of 2020 she jumped at the opportunity to open Bijou Bakery. Her goal, to create a “central coast gem” by offering high quality, French inspired pastries has been realized through the support of her community and team of talented experts in their craft.
