Restored 1852 train depot, from which President-Elect Abraham Lincoln departed for Washington D.C. on February 11, 1861. Lincoln gave one of his most memorable speeches from the back of a train at this location. Visitors can take a self-guided tour through the exhibit.

Edwards Place was home to Benjamin and Helen Edwards and tells the story of social and domestic life in antebellum Springfield. Your visit to Edwards Place will include a tour of this wonderful Italianate mansion and its fascinating collection of furnishings, including the "courting couch" on which Mary and Lincoln sat while they were courting.
